I love riding bikes & walking at the river park on the trails.

Great place to go and relax. Has a nice play area for the kids and pavilions to throw a party or just to have a place to sit and eat. There's also a trail that runs through it so if you want to go for a quiet bike ride or walk this is a good place to do so.

This could be an awesome place. It's too bad that it just ISN'T.

If I had to sum it all up, I'd say this is a lovely little family park that is no place for families. There will be plenty, I'm sure, who might disagree with this, but honestly I think that's because they've become so accustomed to the behavior of the rabble that they've begun paying it no mind. That, or they're part of the rabble. Either way, they're contributing to the problem.

I love it me and my boyfriend go there

Been coming here for years. Sadly, despite regular police patrols (which usually consist of driving through the parking lot and little more--I've actually watched them stop and converse with a kid, after dark and beyond city curfew, who only minutes before had concluded a drug deal on the very same spot), this park is dominated by poorly-behaving, loud-mouthed, aggressive teen and twenty-something thugs. Every time we come here, at least one of them cat-calls or otherwise accosts my young wife, even right in front of me (and I'm a big, intimidating man). I've personally watched three fistfights that I can recall, and at least three more mouth-battles (two initiated by women toward guys) that could easily have resulted in violence...all right in front of my and other young children. The vast majority of people I've seen here are smokers, and do so right in the children's area where kids are at play, depositing their used cigarette butts nonchalantly on the ground. These are but a few of the downsides of this otherwise lovely park, and it reflects very badly on the citizens of Connellsville (the best of whom are wise enough to never come near this place). I've rated it three stars because the park itself is quite nice, but for the people who ruin it and the authorities who do little to really control the problem. An occasional foot patrol might help. Enforcement of the curfew would, for sure. It might also help if the security cameras (signs are posted about their presence, and some of THOSE have been vandalized!) were actually monitored regularly and offenders of the rules properly and swiftly dealt with.

Nice park by the river. Great bike/hike trail
